chevron cowl delight

Chevron delight is exactly right! My other major piece of vacation knitting was knitting the second half of this cowl. I used exactly two skeins of sport weight yarn from my favorite self-striping indie dyer, String Theory Colorworks. I love how most of her colorways alternate longer stripes with smaller ones, making fun patterns. It's sooo hard to accurately photograph this colorway. The modeled pic is closer to accurate--the pink is more raspberry (my favorite!). Between this and my fine tune cowl, I'm totally set for winter now!

Pattern: Chevron Delight Infinity Scarf, a freebie! (link to my Ravelry project page)
Yarn: String Theory Colorworks Orbit in the Muon colorway (used two skeins)
Needles: Size 4 Addi Turbo's
Mods: Used three-needle bind-off instead of kitchener.

It is so difficult to find a pattern that works well with self-striping yarns effectively, but this is by far one of the best examples I've ever seen. It looks perfect!

Woah. I love this. I must have this. Now. But I have no yarn!

I am completely coveting this cowl. The colors are amazing. If I could steal it through the computer screen, I would. Right now. Beautiful knit.
