pattern giveaway: Mont Royal socks

Almost done with my Mont Royal socks! I finished the first sock and have turned the heel on the second, so now I'm in the home stretch! If you haven't been following my progress on these socks, I was lucky enough to test knit this fabulous pattern for Brandy over at Stitched up in Toronto. I can't say enough good things about this pattern--it's toe up (fantastic if you hate kitchener-ing the toe), has a fun and intuitive leafy lace pattern, and the instructions for the short-row heel are impeccable for first-timers like me! I've been thinking of these as my "happy" socks, as I've always wanted a pair of happy yellow socks in my sock drawer! And to add to the happiness today, I have a giveaway! One lucky person will win a copy of this pattern from Brandy! To enter, post a comment telling me what color you'd make these socks in if you win! (and send me an email at snapdragoncrafts AT yahoo.com so I can send you the pattern if you win!) With any luck, I'll be finished with these by the end of the week!

Today I'm linking up with Tammy's Stitch-Along Wednesday, Ginny for Yarn Along, and Nicole for Keep Calm Craft On.

Ahh, they are so happy! I do love them. I think I'm going to have to make my own pair of sunflower yellow socks to brighten my day.

I love anything with a leafy pattern...those are great...they look good in yellow...I have some nice yellow yarn or I might be traditional and go green.

I adore your socks and would love to win the pattern. I think I may have to copy you and do yellow happy socks!

Ooh, these look so perfect in yellow-but I might be tempted to do a complete 180 and try knitting them up in a slightly variegated dark blue :)

I'd be boring and knit them in a dark semi solid green. Yours do look gorgeous in yellow though and I haven't got any yellow socks... yet!

It's such a pretty pattern. And you are so right about yellow being a happy colour.

I've got a gorgeous orangy britsock that would look lovely as these!

I love that motif, it's really pretty! I'd look for a cozy green color probably!

Those are gorgeous socks, but I can't get the hang of toe-up. Do accept my compliments, but give the pattern to someone who will be able to follow it!

What a beautiful sock. This would look absolutely spectacular in a light, leafy green!

So pretty...I'd probably knit them in purple, my favorite color for everything..even leaves.

Love the socks! Love the name of your blog! I have an entire side garden of my house devoted to snapdragons. They are such interesting looking flowers! (Leave me off the win list. I don't knit socks.)

I'd love an exact copy as yellow/mustard is my favourite colour. This would be the first time knitting toe up for me. Fabulous pattern too.

I would love to knit these socks, and I have the perfect purple yarn for them. Thanks for a chance to win this pattern.
